From every board, to one focus.
Abhinav Malhotra founded Triumph Educare in Mumbai in 2017, teaching CBSE and ICSE students out of a small home-tutoring practice. The early years were about range, not focus — whatever board a student needed, Triumph found a way to teach it.
By 2021, that practice had grown past 100 students. It was also the year Triumph took on its first IB and IGCSE families, building out a dedicated team of 20+ teachers specifically for international curricula — a very different kind of teaching from CBSE and ICSE, with its own mark schemes, command terms and assessment style.
The pandemic forced a second shift: sessions moved online almost overnight, and the online format stayed — not as a fallback, but as a genuine second mode families kept choosing even after classrooms reopened.
By 2026, the pattern was clear enough to act on. Triumph raised its first outside funding and made the call to work with IB and IGCSE families exclusively — building a 50+ expert teacher pool trained specifically for these two boards, rather than spreading a general practice thin across every curriculum in Mumbai.
